Former Senator Morgan to Appear on Statewide Radio Show
RALEIGH – Former United States Senator and North Carolina Attorney General Robert Morgan will be this week’s guest on the North Carolina News Network’s (NCNN) 30-minute public affairs show, North Carolina Report. The show will air on affiliate radio stations statewide on Sunday, February 18th.
Morgan and Chris Heagarty, the Executive Director of the North Carolina Center for Voter Education, discuss a wide range of campaign and election reform issues with host Bruce Ferrell in the 30-minute program. Morgan serves as Chair of the Board of the Center for Voter Education, an organization that studies ways to improve the North Carolina election system.
Morgan served five terms in the North Carolina Senate, served as N.C. Attorney General, and was a United States Senator from 1974-1980. As Chairman of the N.C. Center for Voter Education, Morgan has advocated for solutions to problems such as the spiraling cost of campaigns, fewer candidates running for office, and voter apathy.
