Press Conference on Money in Politics
WHAT: The release of a major new public opinion poll of 600 North Carolina likely voters, conducted for the NC Center for Voter Education by Public Opinion Strategies, a nationally recognized Republican polling firm.
WHY: To examine current public attitudes on questions relating to money in politics, including public financing, soft money, judicial reform, and four-year terms for legislators. The results are especially relevant in light of significant soft money reforms such as McCain-Feingold.
